To me, facing fear is the thing I simplify the most in my life now. Why? Because the more you think, the more you’re going to fear. Result? You will do nothing then.
Yes a lot of time you thought it’s better to think thoroughly before taking any actions. But if the situation you’re facing today is what you fear. Then the least thing you want to do is to think it thoroughly.
The reality is, people fear about loss of jobs and financial security, loss of love, loss of others praise and respect. People care more about others thoughts or words. They’re afraid of rejection and embarrassment in the public.
If you’re the one of them, you’re not along. This is totally normal. So how exactly can you do to solve this problem? Here are 3 ways that I personally utilized in my life that actually work.
(1) Identify is the thing causing fear align with your goal
Usually what you fear to do most is the very thing that can make you grow if you overcome it successfully
Before you got motivated and go do anything. Think “is the fear bring you closer to your goal?”
If not, you found no relationship between the two. Then don’t even bother thinking anything related to the fear. Move yourself to another task. Your time worth more.
If yes, continue to the second and third points below. This fear will help you become a better you.
(2) Ask the right question
The most common question people ask themselves in their minds when facing fears is “what if I failed and found out the grass is not greener on the other side?”
Stop and ask “what if you succeed ?!”
“What if this one more attempt is the time that make you successful ?”
“What if this is the life-turning point for you in your life?”
“What if you made it to your goal and you need to worry about yourself because you have too much money with you ?!”
You name it. Key point being, there are millions of positive and FUN way to look at the fears you’re facing. Don’t pick the most detrimental question to bear in mind. You wouldn’t know if the grass is greener on the side until you actually do something that move you closer to that side.
(3) Count down- 3,2,1 GO
A lot of times we just need that one little push to make us start. Kick the starter, get the ball rolling and you’ll be confined focusing on what should you do, not thinking anything about fears.
Hope you find these 3 tips useful. Best of luck on what you’re trying to achieve there. Let me know how did it go!
